More than 2,185 Peace Corps volunteers have served in El Salvador since the program was established in 1962. Currently, 25 volunteers serve in El Salvador. Volunteers work in the areas of community economic development, agriculture, environmental education, health and youth development. Volunteers are trained and work in Spanish.
