Overseas Opportunity
Note about Qualifications
As the Peace Corps moves into the new millennium, several posts are increasing the number of host country nationals serving in Associate Peace Corps Director (APCD) positions. This combined with the high number of applications that we receive means that APCD vacancies are becoming more competitive.
A vacancy announcement lists the mandatory qualifications for each position, however, most candidates far exceed these minimum requirements. Competitive candidates usually will have position specific education, several years of managerial experience, technical skills, and cross-cultural language skills.
Vacancy announcements for APCD positions are posted on this Web site. Please send one application for each vacancy announcement to which you want to apply.

APCD/Generalist
These APCDs support both large and small Peace Corps country programs. In the larger programs they usually function as regional directors for Peace Corps, overseeing Volunteers in many programmatic areas while living in those regions.
