Health

Health Volunteers work with local governments, clinics, nongovernmental organizations, and communities at the grassroots level, where the need is most urgent and the impact can be the greatest. They focus on outreach, awareness, and prevention programs in public health, hygiene, and sanitation.

Volunteers also help expand access to clean water and improve sanitation by digging water wells, building latrines, and teaching communities how to maintain these structures. In helping communities take more responsibility for their own health care, they work to ensure the sustainability of their projects.
