Camille Smith helped the local municipality where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer create its first website, managed daily operations for a start–up rural tourism business, and advised a local women's artisan association on best business practices. She also mentored local youth groups and helped community groups implement large–scale workshops. During her service, Camille had the opportunity to work with two cultural dance organizations and in her spare time would accompany them to dance performances in neighboring towns
Smithsonian FolkLife Festival: At 5 p.m. Sunday, July 10, Camille and many other Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from Peru will be dancing and performing in a 30-minute production about Peru. The dances that will be performed are ones that she learned from her friends in Mochumì Lambayeque.
