Anna Hermann of Saint Louis, Missouri, works with a group of women weavers and embroiderers from a small village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. She teaches basic business skills, including product development, marketing, customer service, and sales. Anna also plans craft fairs in cities throughout Morocco and has arranged a workshop teaching more than 50 women to learn natural dying techniques. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Truman State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University.
Smithsonian FolkLife Festival: Anna will accompany two Moroccan artisans from the High Atlas Mountains who will demonstrate traditional carpet weaving. She will explain Moroccan weaving techniques to visitors and translate any questions they have for the two artisans.
